50 Birthday Terms & Conditions

The Promotion:

  1. The Van Dyks 50 Birthdays Promotion is conducted by Van Dyks 1-7 Main Street, Putaruru, 3411, New Zealand.
  2. Information on how to enter the promotion forms part of this document.
  3. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of the terms and conditions.
  4. By participating, entrants grant Van Dyks permission to use their names, contact information & photographs in connection with the Promotion and to be subscribed to the Club Van Dyks email database. Van Dyks does not sell or share your personal details.
  5. Van Dyks reserves the right to amend the terms of the Promotion, including modifying, suspending or cancelling the Promotion or amending any applicable dates, in its sole discretion at any time.
  6. Van Dyks is not liable for any loss or damage that may be sustained directly or indirectly in connection with this promotion, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

 

Entry and Dates:

  1. The promotion commences on 9am 1 June 2024 and closes 5pm on 31 August 2024.
  2. Entry is open to Van Dyks retail customers who purchased between the dates above.
  3. Only entries received before the specified close date of 5pm on 31 August 2024 are eligible.
  4. To enter the Promotion, a Customer must be a subscribed member or join Club Van Dyks and complete a purchase, online or in store.
  5. A Customer can enter each time they complete a purchase.
  6. Each completed purchase is eligible for:
    1. One (1) entry per purchase into the prize draw.
      1. Plus one (1) entry for every $500 purchased.
      2. Entries are doubled for a purchase of Silver marked product. (See instore)
      3. Entries are tripled for a purchase of Gold marked product. (See instore)

 

The Draw

  1. There is 1 grand prize draw at the end of the promotion.
  2. There is a weekly draw for a product specified on Van Dyks social media.
  3. All entries received at the time of each Draw are entered into each Draw.
  4. Entries are calculated automatically on the Van Dyks system.
  5. The Winners will be determined in random draw and results will be final. No correspondence will be entered into.
  6. The first valid entries drawn at random win and winners will be notified using the details provided by the Customer.
  7. Winners will be contacted by Van Dyks to arrange pick-up or delivery.
  8. Only the person who originally entered the Promotion can be awarded the prizes.
  9. If after 5 working days following Van Dyks attempting to contact the winner at the contact details provided, and unable to make contact with the winner, that winner will automatically forfeit the prize, and Van Dyks will randomly select one further winner who will be contacted via the details on the entry form.

 

The Prizes & Redeeming them.

  1. The grand prize is:
    1. Goods from Van Dyks to the retail value of $50,000 (ticketed pricing at time of selection). Items are to be selected from the following brand and retail values: Sleepyhead $15,000; La-Z-Boy $7,500; Furniture by design $5,000; Bremworth $5,000; Polylor $2,500; Beko $7,500; Panasonic $7,500.
  2. Where a product is unavailable, Van Dyks reserves the right to substitute it with another of equal value.
  3. Prize is not redeemable for cash, gift card or transferable, and must be redeemed within 6 months of the Draw date.
  4. The weekly prize is a product determined by Van Dyks and posted on social media during the week of that draw. 

 

Eligibility

  1. Entry only applied to purchases made from Van Dyks BedsRus, Van Dyks 100% Appliances, Van Dyks Flooring Xtras, Van Dyks Living and Van Dyks Bikes.
  2. The Promotion is only open to New Zealand citizens and permanent residents aged 16 years and older as at the time of entry.
  3. The Winners must be a current member of Club Van Dyks and Van Dyks reserves the right to disqualify any respondent who is not a current member of Club Van Dyks at time of the specific Draws.
  4. No responsibility is accepted for late, lost, misdirected, incorrect entries.
  5. The following are excluded from entering the promotion: Those professionally connected with the promotion; Van Dyks suppliers, Commercial customers, Group Builder clients; Van Dyks employees including their spouses, grandparents, parents, children, and grandchildren, whether by marriage, past marriages, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other family extension
